I haven't been at it long, but I'm back in the field after a long hiatus.

One thing I do that seems to stand out but hasn't had the desired effect has been, instead of asking for a number, leaving a custom made card with my number and name on it (I got them for free anyhow). So we make some verbiage, a little kino, then I head out with my friends when we're ready to go. I tell the target that it'd be unfortunate if she never got to see me again and give her my card.

This has resulted in a few next-day fb requests, but never a call/text. One of my friends has said this makes me look too available. Is the friend right? Am I leaving too much of the responsibility for escalation in incapable hands? Or is it just a matter of the numbers game? I've only done this 4 or 5 times so far.
