Missed opportunities like this are crucial to developing your ability to get numbers and dates like u/CrushHazard stated. Kick yourself hard enough, and it will only take a few before you never make the same mistakes again.
It feels good to have had a nice lil interaction, but don't think you didn't leave this girl disappointed. (assuming this story is an accurate portrayal of events and she went out of her way to talk to you and was being flirty etc.) She opened you, and her goal wasn't to feed you kale chips.... It was to prompt you to make a move.

You make solid points as I could tell leaving the store with her disappointed by the body language at the end. Primarily I didn't close given I'm moving to Denver in 24 hours and it would be a whole different ball game I slowed playtime with a while ago. Since that was on my mind I redirected the conversation to simply step away from setting any expectations and moved along. It sucks too but I chose to make this big move and look forward to having another opportunity similar in the very near future.
If I was an area codes kind of guy then I'd be all over it but maybe another day.

Oh ok.. well that changes things entirely. Good for you; I think moving to a new place is good for mental health and a good overall life experience most times.
Yeah. Not knowing anyone has brought me to this sub more to help prep since I've known most of my friends through work or high school. Thanks!
