In my social group, me and my roommates are the hosts of the party about half of the time. In our large social group, all the females who I'm interested in know each other (its the community of international students) one way or another, and thus all end up at the same party. This at times is problem number one: the girl I'm interested in is often flanked by 2 or 3 girls I've already been with, who sometimes get drunk and want my attention.

But the real bitch of it is being the host of the party. As the host and the most sober one, I'm constantly answering the door, socializing, moving around, and attending to all manner of things. I try to settle down when I can, but its not always possible. There are always a few girls over who I would like to get with, but I can never seem to isolate in my own home. Unfortunately I live in the bedroom that is right off the main hall, with the giant front window, so its even harder to get a girl away.

How do you close when you are the one throwing the party?
