Hey guys,

Struggling hard here. I am fairly confident can also be very shy depending on the situation. I have no problem talking to girls at parties and functions but outside of that just going up to random girls I am extremely shy. I have jumped out of airplanes and scuba'd 140ft underwater without hesitation, but randomly going up to a hot chick literally could get me shaking.

So there is this girl in class that is really cute. Assigned seating and she sits a couple tables across. Due to the seating we face each other directly. I try not to look all that much but you know how it can be. Anyway I was tired of avoiding it and noticed she was looking at me and kind of locked eyes with hers for a bit, can't tell if it was chill or not. Anyways as you can tell I am really over thinking this whole thing.

I am really just curious how to engage with her. That is the only part I am worried about in this whole thing. I mean should I just catch her on the way out and be like hey you look really familiar, where are you from. I mean its fucking college it isn't hard to talk to someone its just insanely intimidating for me to start the topic with a stranger with no reason to talk to her except that I find her attractive. My biggest concern is looking like a creep. I am average build, looks, well groomed and not normally a weird guy but it just feels wrong to go up to a stranger. Ive only done it a few times before and it always felt weird and I guess made me more awkward.

I know there is a ton of advice on here and I have been looking through it. I guess my main question is how to not feel so weird about it and what I am supposed to say. I guess I could ask about a quiz or homework or something but honestly it just seems so sketch to me because I could ask anyone at my table but am directly confronting her after class. I think you're catching my point by now.

Any and all advice is appreciated.

Sorry for the rambling post, first ever post.

TLDR: How to approach girl in class with assigned seating without looking/feeling like a creep.

Background info: I am a transfer student at a 4 year college and dont really know many people yet so no mutual friends.
