Saying that you have a minimum level of standards required to interact with you and that you NEED something from her are two completely different things.

If she isn't willing to meet your standards, then you just stop talking to her.... there is no "need" in there at all.

Less than someone not saying anything in fear of hurting the person. But the best thing to do would be to joke about it.
