Seddit, how do I maintain confidence without making it appear to people I think I'm better than they are? I mean, I do think that way, but I after asking people about it, it seems that I might be making that too obvious and offending people. I don't think that's the right first impression to be making, what might I be able to do differently?

For clarity, the feedback I've gotten is that the way I dress(I'm in college, not in a frat but my shirt-wardrobe does consist mainly of solid-colored collared shirts(polo&button-downs)) along with my gait and posture give the impression that I feel superior to those around me
