I have wrote on confidence before. This time I will do it in a short way that should stick easily. I will describe assholes in a way to make it known easily how to easily identify a truely confident person.

Assholes are not confident, they are outspoken, selfish, and insecure

The outspoken and selfish quality make people think they are confident. They are not however. They are insecure and unable to admit defeat in a rational and calm way. They tend to do many diva like things in a very outspoken way born out of insecurity.

Confidence is being secure in yourself enough to be reasonable and true to yourself. It is the ability to assert yourself when warranted within reason without acting like a child.
