29 yo from NYC, moved here to Southwestern CT for work (Fairfield area) and live between Norwalk and Stamford. Want to re-start doing game after being out of it for about 5 years now, especially since the weather is a lot better. There's a lot of small-medium size towns out here but everything is spread out. In theory that means a lot of different spots, but I don't want to waste a whole lot of time scoping each town and small city out here, and going back to NYC is both a PITA and a copout. I'd have to visit this girl often, so ideally not visiting NY all the time would be preferable.

Total noob at understanding CT. I went to Mohegan Sun before and passed it on my way to Boston...that's about it. From the map it seems like Bridgeport is the closest city near me. Stamford is not small, but it's not terribly big either. Seems like downtown is just 1 street and a bunch of commuter apartments. Everyone talks about Norwalk but it looks real sketch from what I've seen so far. White Plains is a 30 min drive. New Haven is about a 40 min drive, while Hartford is 1.5 hours. Mohegan is also 1.5 hours.

Anyone on this subreddit live in CT and share any tips (bets spots/shops/bars, etc)? Nightgame, too (even though I specified Daygame). Could be good to practice talking/socializing. Also not really interested in college chicks, looking mostly for my age (25-28), though grad students are cool. College could be a great place for practice, but I'd also like some serious joints to scope out, too.
