Lately, I have heard several girl friends talking about guys being emotional over a girl. Every time I hear them talk about one of these guys or hear one of my guy friends doing it, I cringe for the man. Being overly emotional over a girl (or anything) reeks of neediness and insecurity; two things that will absolutely drive girls the opposite direction. Before you jump to any conclusions, it is by no means a bad thing to feel emotions. In fact, feeling and understanding your emotions is a perfectly healthy and normal human function. It is your reaction to those emotions that really defines how women and others perceive you as a man.
If you are carrying along in life and something swings the wrong direction, be it a woman, a job offer, a flat tire, or anything else, it is perfectly understandable to feel a little down. However, it is NOT acceptable to let this one incident or any combination of the sort dictate your present actions or how you carry yourself. It is exceptionally important that you be in complete control of your actions regardless of your emotions. By all means, feel sad when you are sad, happy when you are happy, excited when good things happen. However, do not let sad feelings or exciting moments sweep away your true self and carry you into their domain. Maintain an anchor in reality and remember that your emotions are only temporary and that you will still be the same person once they have passed.
To better clarify, here is a real life example. A girl friend of mine was talking with her ex on the phone recently. When she told him she had to go because she had other things to do, he got frustrated because he said she never has time to talk to him and she is hard to talk to. To her, he was being very needy. Though surely he was frustrated, letting the frustration control his words and say what he said only hurt his cause and made him look worse, whereas handling the situation more maturely by saying a simple “ok, well have fun and I’ll give you a call later.” in a positive or neutral tone would have left him just fine after an otherwise great phone conversation. Obviously this isn’t a classic seduction example, but it shows that the principle applies outside of seduction as well.
At this point, I feel like any more detail and I may fall (farther) into the realm of rambling, so if you have any questions feel free to ask and I’ll do my best to answer.
