I've been reading seddit for a while, trying to gather up as much information as I can. I'm a 2nd year in college, and in a school where there is a large greek life. im in a fraternity, and although I'd say im one of the more attractive kids in my fraternity and i know i should have a better chance than everyone else, I can't do what I've read i should do.

I go into a pregame thinking "I'm gonna talk to the cutest girl there", I know what i should be doing, but for some reason when i actually get there i end up not doing it. I know i should be confident, be outcome independent, and just try to have fun, but when i get there i just completely freeze up and i end up just talking to the people i already know and never new girls. I feel like i just completely freeze up, i don't make moves, and it's hurting my social aspect too because all my friends know i could get cute girls, but when i dont they know they have the upper hand on me and i just feel like a complete beta. I'm a pretty good talker once i get to know someone, but just completely out of the blue i'm so terrible and its crippling my confidence and i just dont know what to do, or at least i do know what to do but i dont know why i just cant do it.

I know i should be enjoying this time in my life to the fullest, but everytime i don't go for what i want its just another step back and im not actually depressed but this negative loop is just crippling me. Has anyone ever been in a similar situation and found some type of motivation or advice that truly helped their situation? I know this is a pretty broad and all-encompassing question, but i just feel so completely useless and powerless and i need a way to regain control of what i want in my life.
