Yes. first develop a cool look/style that works for you. A lot of being "attractive" for men is having a look that works. Second, make sure your clothes are fitted properly and in season (if it's summer time don't wear a lot of dark colors). Third, get into as good of shape as possible. Fourth, have good hygiene; good smelling breath, white teeth, clean skin, and wear deodorant and some cologne. Fifth, have some type of opener that you've rehearsed at home a bunch of times so that when you say it it comes out naturally in front of the woman. Most guys who don't know this stuff think they're just going to come up with some witty opener and end up saying nothing at all. If you look at professional fighters, they drill over and over again so that they know what to do when it's time to get down. The same concept applies to pick-up. Also, practice your opener, practice improv (pick a topic at random and talk about it for 30 seconds to a minute with a good energy and then switch to another topic), and practice your close; "You seem cool. We should hang out sometime. Give me your number and I'll give you a call."

When you're out and it's time to approach; APPROACH! My friends and I use to be dogmatic about this. I use to set a time with two minute intervals and we all had to be talking to women by the time it was up or I'd have some type of punishment in store for whoever didn't.
