Slow your roll and dont get grabby and ASSUME escalation. Dirty dancing is one thing, it doesn't always mean she wants the D.

As a current senior in college, I have to say that if a roommate or best friend of your target is dead set on cockblocking you, you'll have to put in more effort unless you have a solid wing to cover you.

If you really want the girl for just the one night, I would at the very least get the girl's number and try to become friends with the girls who are causing you trouble. If things go well, you can continue to work your game on your target.

What I usually do is make a strong impression on the target and her friends, number close, and leave them to go after someone else. And when the next weekend comes, invite the girls to pregame with you. I can almost guarantee you that once you are no longer that random stranger trying to hit on their friend, you won't face the cockblocking problem.

if its consistent, the girl is most likely giving them a hand signal or something to come save her...you're prob going a little to overboard with the dancing...
