Hey man,
Trust be told, you can do something similar for almost free by yourself. I recommend reading Mark Manson's book "Models: Attract women through honesty" and the "stylelife challenge".
PM me if you want to get a PDF version of the book
Start doing approaches on your own. I recommend doing it in high traffic areas so you can do more approaches

I have read the book but still haven’t actually gone out and approached. Really the dating coach wouldn’t be able to make me, it’s something I have to figure out in my own anyway.

Cool, glad you admit that.
Yeah, tbh most "Dating coaches" teach similar stuff to "Models" and "stylelife challenge". Ultimately, it's just a matter of actually approaching, and asking for a phone # (at least daygame wise, I haven't really had success with nightgame).

You aren't reaching the end of the road, you have just realised that you need a change of direction, haven't you? That is going to involve making yourself more attractive, being more confident and feeling relaxed about something that has previously been a source of stress and frustration to you.
So, you are wondering what to do.My suggestion is that you do two things in particular.
The first is to work on your body. That means doing something that works your body hard and builds muscle - gym or bodyweight, it doesn't matter so much. After a few weeks of this, you will have become a different person.
The second is to work on your mind. That might involve meditation, of some sort. I find self hypnosis is very helpful.Whatever you choose you will notice a clear improvement in your mental condition and previous concerns will no longer affect you.
Once you have started doing this new life of yours, you will notice that many things become much easier for you.
Now, you were talking about hiring the dating guy who will tell you to behave like a pickup artist (one of his nerd clients who he will be paying for his lifestyle). There is nothing that he will tell you that you can't learn for free.

Depends on where you're fucking up.
Some things can be addressed by reading and repetition. Other weaknesses are clueless blind spots. For example, perhaps the biggest blind spot for men is phone/text game. Which is why I have a real time coaching program for that.

2 days ago, I typed following to another guy who asked same question for his brother.
Look at my post history and my account. I have been in PUA long enough. I know at least 20-30 guys that took bootcamps with different companies. I, myself, met multiple head coaches of multiple different PUA companies over the years.
First of all, bootcamps are not magic bullets that will cure all of your problems with girls in a weekend. I am saying this from my experience and from the experience of any person that took PUA bootcamp. In my 10 years in PUA, I have never seen anyone go from being bad with girls to picking up girls only after a single bootcamp. In most cases, it took months of hard work for guys to start getting girls.
There are multiple bootcamp companies that focus on different parts of PUA. Some teach lines, some teach frameworks, some teach woo-woo stuff, and some teach so called "natural game". The woo woo and natural game is good for self entertainment and feeling good but in my 10 years in PUA, I saw that the followers of that school had the least success with girls. I am talking about people going out for a year, still can't pick up girls properly. I literally had to cut a guy out of my life. We went out to clubs for 4 months together. He never practiced any lines, he never practiced any methodologies, he never practiced any tools. He had this idea that if he hit his head on the same wall million times, then he would magically figure it out. After 4 months, I had to cut him out of my life. In my opinion, he barely made any progress in the 4 months and he was fucking up my sets very often! There are so many times I can forgive someone for being a bad wing before I say fuck this!
Given that information, I strongly suggest you to find a bootcamp that focuses on the structured side of the game and teaches by example. (Stay the fuck away from RSD)
The other thing is that, is your brother motivated to work on himself? Believe me, he is going to get 100s of rejections before all of this PUA thing clicks and he starts seeing success. It is very hard to convince someone to get 100s of rejections, when they are refusing to hit the gym 3 times a week or eat healthy.
I will add my 2cents here. Right now, if someone close to me was getting into PUA, i would suggest them to start studying "The System" by Todd. First of all, that product is complete. Meaning that it takes you from opening to closing with a good structure and good examples along the way. Those example lines are what is called reference experience. You don't have to go out and 10 years in the field to have the reference experience. This is why you pay money to a PUA to teach you. So you can have their reference experience and see what works, and how it works.
After buying him "The System", I would wait and see if he is implementing it, or if he is going out every week. If he does, then come back and ask again, then I will drop few names.

Agreed, the system is a great program and it has an 8 week action plan that is very well designed. Todd clearly has a lot of passion for teaching and a lot of experience.
To be honest, Todd's style of game doesn't resonate with me, but despite that I still think his program is the best on the market right now. In terms of someone who's teaching very practical, actionable advice that works - he's the best well known dating coach out there.
