I work for a large tech company. Other departments have cute girls. I would like to date one of them. It's difficult to make conversation with out being SUPER direct. I'm usually really direct in bars, clubs, day game etc.

If I said "hey, I think you're cute and I think you're interesting. How would you like to get a drink with me after work?" I think could potentially backfire.

What should I do? This particular girl is really cute and there is obviously some subtle chemistry.
