I started talking to a girl I met online. The first conversation went ok, but when I suggested meeting up, I got no reply for several days, until she messaged me repeatedly saying "I want to die." I went into suicide prevention mode and started giving her advice such as "don't kill yourself", you know that kind of thing.
The reason she feels the way she does is she has no family (abandoned by her parents when she was young) and recently lost her job and was dumped by her boyfriend. The inability to get married was a big sticking point for her. She is 26, which really isn't that old, but this is not in the US so the culture is different.
She called me on the phone, and we talked for an hour and a half, keeping it pretty upbeat. But she does seem a bit crazy--said she wanted to marry me, even though we haven't even met yet. She said she wanted to meet up, so I made plans for next week.
The thing is, this girl is pretty attractive but I'm not even looking for an LTR let alone marriage. How should I handle this situation? Obviously I need to be clear about my intentions, but what's the most tactful way? It's a very delicate situation.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
