Caveat: I wasn't sure whether to post this in /r/askseddit as this came up with a specific girl, but it's not an uncommon situation so I would like to know what to do in this general situation.

So I met a girl online who lives nearby, and we started messaging. We got into a pretty animated and funny chat about halloween costumes. We messaged more or less non-stop for an hour and a half, and it was fun. Then I asked her where she's going for halloween. She read the message but didn't reply. Some minutes later I added "I'm going to x!". Read that one and didn't reply either. And it's already been about an hour. I can't imagine she could have been freaked out by me simply asking about her halloween plans especially considering the vibe we had and it was on point. Honestly, it seems rude to just suddenly ignore someone after such an intense messaging session, without saying bye or anything. My question is, should I have called her out on it so as not to be walked over? Or should I just let it go and channel outcome independence?

Thoughts?
