This is a question about dealing with female friends at the bar.

I popped down to the bar last night after watching the final 4 games with a buddy of mine hoping to hit sarge a bit. When we get down there the place is busy and there’s none of my normal group of friends there. My buddy and I open a 2 set that doesn’t go to far as the girls have boyfriends and aren’t very responsive, have one word answers to things and are hard to carry on a conversation with. We exit on those and up pops a female friend of mine (purely a plutonic friend, not very attractive but super smart and interesting and what not) and we start talking. She says that she knows no one there and ends up stuck to my side for a while. My guy friend was able to duck out and continue hunting, but I was unable to due to the female friend.

*I’m wondering if there’s a good way to exit out of a conversation with a friend who doesn’t really have any friends at a venue, without ditching them?

Also thought about trying to have her wing for me but I don’t think that would work out to well in the end, I guess I can't know without trying, for the next time I will.
