It's all about being a challenge. If you are predictable and easy to get and always available, you are basically boring. And not only that, but basically it means you have no options and therefore your sperm is not in demand and therefore low quality. Guys who have plenty of dating and sexual options are often careless and unavailable because they can afford to lose a girl. Women pick up on that vibe and instinctually they know that a lot of women are chasing after him, therefore his sperm is in high demand therefore it is of high quality (many women want it).
That's the way life works my friend.

Is that why Social Proof is important? Lots of followers or status? Can I fake social proof to seem more in demand or is there a better way?

You don't need to fake anything. Just don't be super available and cling to women. Walk away first, that kind of thing.

as you grow older , your world view becomes something you can control. You want to be a liberal? then you surround yourself with liberal thinking people, tv shows and newspapers. If you want to be conservative...the same thing.
Today now more than ever we have so many great luxuries at our fingertips with little to no barrier. Happiness is a moment away.
With this mindset things that are uncertain now provide a sharp juxtaposition to the pleasantness of our routines. So let's say we go down this tunnel of uncertainty and we are met with a reward, that reward will be valued and appreciated because it was earned with hardship.
Chances are that reward will be held in high regard forever. That is why teams that win championships are celebrated long after the game because of what a momentous occasion it was.

Its not only our current age but the trait of entire mankind that is responsible for this, humans have always looked for objects that are unreachable. Thus uncertainty is what makes something getting much harder and thus increasing value. Man strives for things that he cannot have and I am not sure if its beneficial in the long run or not.

Neither. People that are slow to respond to messages or not considering you any kind of a priority. I would add there’s also an element of rude and inconsiderate behavior attached to this as well. If you are pursuing someone, dating someone or are in a relationship with someone I think you should respond to that person in a timely manner and that should be within two hours, unless you’re at work or in a business meeting, etc.

Id say its fear if loss which triggers this anxiety, and scarcity increases value.
