You have things to lose at this point.
You've been friends with her for a year. You obviously like being friends with her.
Let's say you make a move on her and now things are weird and you lose her as a friend.
Half the charm is being willing to walk away but you won't walk away and she knows that. You'll end up needy and weird and you won't get her and she won't be your friend anymore.
Which hurts more; no sex or now you have one less friend?
There are ways to turn a female friend into a lover but it's complex and I've only known a very few guys who successfully pulled it off and by your comments, you don't have the game to make that happen so expect just to lose your friend.
