If you're going to be in a dancing environment I highly recommend you learn how to dance.
Also, consider this: a club is where you will have the absolute highest amount of competition. Maybe practice in social scenes that have slightly less competition first, and then bring your A game to the club.

Maybe you can give me some advice. So a few times girls have came up to me and started dancing and that was easy and I didn’t have issues with dancing with a girl 1 on 1 but my problem is starting to dance with girls that don’t initiate. They come near me, keep giving me friendly looks, smiles, etc but I don’t know if I should just grab her hand and dance or their waist, or verbally ask, etc. I’ve never really been to clubs before so idk the etiquette. I also haven’t been single in a long time so I’m out of touch with “new girls”
Competition I don’t think is a problem for me either. I’ve talked to girls, left them, some guys try to hit on them then they leave them and come over to me. A few times when some dude hits on them I’ve had a girl start making out with me in front of his face to basically say fuck off to him I’d say.
I literally just don’t know how to initiate 1 on 1 dancing then close. I’d say I have the verbal game down and looks too but not the initiation for dancing. I feel as if once I’m dancing with them everything else will be easy but I need help with starting to dance 1 on 1

I don't know what country you're in but in the USA you should absolutely never just grab a girl in a nightclub.
You keep repeating that you don't know how to dance. Learn how to dance.

Try to think of places where guys aren't usually going to be. Or maybe guys that are a very different type than yourself so you stand out.

Yea just grab her hand and if she holds it back you got her. You can also put your hand on her waist and dance like whatever. A club is the probably the place where you gotta put the least effort to get someone lol. But the competition is tough, because an average club it's usually like 70% males 30% females. 95% of that 70% male population is looking for some action, while the females' is % it's usually much much lower, leaving the availability rate pretty low. And we are not count the ones who are not single.
