Does it happen when she maybe is going through something stressful? Whenever I process certain things and get stressed I have a tendency to shut down more and become distant and disconnected from my husband unintentionally.

That is a very strong point. I can definitely attribute it to times where she is stressed, like right now. But I have also noticed it (less frequently) when she is not. My gut is telling me that it is not a big deal, I just have to come to terms with it

I would honestly say the longer I’ve been with my husband the more likely I am to kinda get in my own head and “space”. Again not to intentionally hurt him but it becomes safer to maybe do so. Like you only keep getting more and more comfortable with each other as time goes on. The longer you are with someone the more you kinda trust them and not stress if you don’t feel like talking or entertaining the other person. My husband (32M) and I (29f) have some very different hobbies. I used to try so hard to ask more questions about his interested. After 6 years I still ask but sometimes I just let him express his thoughts or excitement and I just kinda listen. I wouldn’t want to squash his happiness so I support them but those subjects don’t interest me so I don’t have much to add. Idk this is me rambling at this point but honestly I think it isn’t anything to worry about too much. Trust your gut, it typically won’t lead you wrong.

You seemed very focused on this relationship. What are you doing for yourself and the person you are dating more than anyone? If she was gone tomorrow, what would you be focusing on? I tend to get wrapped up in my lady because I start to focus more on her happiness then mine, which makes me unhappy, which makes me be a different person then who she originally chose to be with. It happens all the time. Focus on yourself, and let the right person be with the person you want to be without the fear of losing them because you didn’t make them happy.
