You sound like me. Too bitter about the past to live in the present.

The hookers worked for me because porn wasn't enough, I was scratching an itch. Eventually I started forgetting the past. Haven't gotten over it, but I can be who I am now. It's just that I'm obsessed with proving that I I have changed, or that failures will mean I haven't changed.

But it took too long for me to heal by myself. Get therapy, and never reject something good in front of you.

OP you can’t start a relationship when you don’t love yourself.

Because all your acceptance will be based on the opinion of your partner and if you do not accept YOU BREAK and you know. You are hurting yourself, I recommend you I do not beg you to seek help with therapy please believe me help over time you can take months or years but it will help you if you put on your side. You deserve to give love to be loved but it is more important to love yourself than anyone else first.
