I think you have a small sample size. I don’t think anyone said you have to touch them on the first date but it’s usually helpful.

On first dates where I didn’t touch them I am significantly more likely to get the “didn’t feel a spark” text.

So no you shouldn’t just grab your date just because but if things are going well it generally won’t hurt and will also improve your outlook.

There are people who take pride in not putting their personality on the line. Sure, maybe no one hates them. But no one loves them either. They are just tolerated.

No one who is good with women advocates going 0-100. But you need to engage her, including physically. Sure you might rack up a bunch of early dates. But it'll never go anywhere because you're not actually putting anything on the line. You are merely being tolerated.

Touch, escalation etc is almost a must unless the other person is super into you. On dates I didn't escalate I normally get the "I don't see us going anywhere romantically "
