Yeah. The "slap" might have just been a result of him being uncoordinated and drunk and not really the motion he was going for. Might have been intended as just a kiss block. Who knows, but imagine this, you hit the dude and catch an assault charge for some dumb shit. Hundreds of dollars and a blemished record later for what? Cops will hang around these places and not be looking for drunk drivers...just there to stop fights. Ask me how I know. $660 and two counts of disorderly conduct that kept me out of jobs and even didn't help a custody battle years later.
Reality is you'll probably think about that slight for years and get the same feeling of "I shoulda......" But I can tell you, you did the right thing to let it go.

Right! definitely hard to say, but why tf wouldn’t this girl stop holding my hand if that was the case. At the same time, I didn’t get rejected really by the girl I got baby slapped by some man lol. This girl was definitely not sober.
Edit - also she never even acknowledged who this other guy was or showed any indication whatsoever that she had a boyfriend to the best of my knowledge, but again I was drunk. She was also drunk. You might be right… maybe I missed some signs which is why I feel kind of shameful about it lol. I just don’t know. I will definitely not drink that much again and be more aware of my surroundings in the future. Just one of those embarrassing moments you think about when laying in bed unable to sleep at 2:30am lol
