Dude it’s cold outside no one is gonna want to be stopped by a stranger to talk, and just as a heads up, even before Covid square one isn’t that great a mall for that.
If you wanna get better, put yourself in positions you can win. You’re not going to win in Square One. Anyone you go up to there will think you’re trying to sell them something.
I know you’re from an island and probably never done it but consider going ice skating downtown Toronto at like 7/8 PM on a Friday or Saturday night at the rink that gives the sick view of the CN Tower. With clubs shut down, they’re probably the most social place in the GTA right now..
And don’t worry about being a bad skater, there will be plenty of recent immigrants skating there for the first time too. You can use that as an ice breaker no pun intended. See if you can find a girl willing to teach you how to skate.

Thank you for the info.
My question is: is that weird to talk with a stranger on the street? Apparently was used a lot before covid

Yes it’s very weird and annoying more than anything.
People are usually on the street because they are going somewhere, getting interrupted for no good reason can result in them being rude to you, flat out ignoring you, or even blowing up at you.

I don’t know if you know about that, but, before covid there where this pick up communities like “RSD” and they use to do that

You have to understand that the success rate for that activity is extremely low for most guys, even before Covid. In fact, short of being a celebrity, theres no consistent way to success with strangers on the street.
Think of it this way, have you ever gotten a call from an strange number that ends up being a telemarketer trying to sell you something? Have your ever gotten that call when you were right in the middle of something? How was your reaction to that?

I perfectly understand what you say and makes a lot of sense what you say.
But, my main goal isn’t pick up a girl on the spot is just to learn the skill, like I said in a club with a lot of people Will feel even more uncomfortable

Don't approach a random woman in public who is going about her business, especially with another guy.
Go to a place with a "social" atmosphere and approach women there (bar, party, club, etc)
Thank you for your answer.
The goal is to approach women that are alone in the street. The way I feel will be even more scary in these places.
