I’ve gotten tons of models to respond on Instagram, including a couple that were in Vogue. Instagram is one of the best apps for dating IMO.

Replying to her ig stories is the best way to strike up a conversation without sounding weird or awkward. You’ll have more chances of getting a response back

Messaging people you've met like old high school or college friends has a realistic chance of going to a date. I've done it a few times. Sometimes I never had talked to them in person before messaging, but they are a mutual friend or sometimes I have met them in-person, but it was super brief like in an ice-breaker at some event.
I usually start by reminiscing about something regarding the place we met or both went to. Then I ask them how have things changed since that high school/college class or event. I have a brief text conversation and tell them I have to go and that we should arrange a time to meet and catch up.
If we get to the meet up I will try to escalate the romantic interest so they know I'm not looking for an old friend to catch up with.
If you are trying to message women you have nothing in common with on facebook or IG, then the chances they will respond are extremely low unless you have some significant following.

The amount of men in my DMs on IG is absolutely insane. I’ll be honest, I don’t think any of them are real, so I ignore them.
I’ll give you an example, one guy said he needed me to send him Google Play gift cards, because he’s in the military and they were going to shut his account off if I didn’t send him $150 gift card. A simple Google search revealed that it was a scam.
Another guy, sends me all these lovely messages telling me how much he loves me and wants to be with me. He supposedly was in Italy. He asked me to buy some Bitcoin to help a children’s charity he worked for. Couldn’t find anything on it. Then he claimed he was having such horrible headaches but couldn’t get the money out of his Coinbase account to pay for the surgery because no one at Coinbase could help him because he was in Italy. I asked for screenshots and he got defensive. I asked if we could video chat and he never addressed my request. He finally sends me a picture of his head supposedly with staples in it and told me that was going to die an old lonely woman and no one will ever love me.
Then there’s the men who tell me they want me to be a mother to their children because their wife died…and the one who had his sister follow me just so she could tell me how good of a guy he was?
Yeah. No. Not a fan of IG DMs being a dating service.
