If you’re afraid of a life and death situation waiting around every corner I think you may be too anxious to do anything in life let alone talk to a stranger lol

Thats not really the point. Its moreso about how society views these things as bad and how its necessary to learn it anyway. Im just trying to reinforce whether or not its necessary to cold approach. I dont walk around fearing death, I couldve used any other example, I just chose something relative to what I like to do, which is train martial arts for fun, and I used a stigma people have around the morality of fighting, but why its necessary to know how to fight.

Why do you care what society thinks. Society would also have you believe that if you put on a wig & a dress today you could identify as a… let me not get started on that.
Look, forget society. Rules are meant to be followed by the losers, those who break the right rules are often those that excel past the average person. If you’re in a location where you can see results coming from cold approach, keep doing it.

Okay I see what you’re saying, yes bad example.I wouldn’t say knowing how to fight is necessary for going through life. Social skills, being able to read, engage and talk to strangers can deescalate and prevent any situation that could lead to a physical altercation. Plus there’s a lot more benefits to being able to talk to strangers than just deescalation and picking up women, so yes, if talking to people doesn’t come naturally it’s definitely a good skill to have.
