I literally just saw a couple that was a hot skinny blonde girl and a fat average guy. And it was pretty obvious she was genuinely attracted to him, she was kissing him. You have no excuse.
Tinder is not reality and the overall economics are horrible. Average looking guys can have so much more success in person than on tinder.

So here’s the thing about looks. If you’re a good looking guy and you approach women, about 10% (maybe 15%) of the women you approach will be instantly attracted to you. 80% of women will be neutral no matter how attractive you are (not attracted but not sure) and 10% will instantly reject you no matter how attractive you are (they have a boyfriend, they’re just not interested etc). So a large majority of women will be on the fence but you attract most of these women through game.
I learned this as a handsome well-dressed dude. Some women would be automatically on, most would be “eh not sure” and some would reject me off the bat. Being good looking doesn’t really do much except increase the women who are instantly into you (most of these women will not be the most attractive btw, most 9’s and 10’s can get attractive dudes so it isn’t hard for them). Most of the absolutely stunning women will be neutral.

There’s one obvious factor that should be left out: those guys are FAMOUS. Women are attracted to status. The status those guys have are attractive to women.
I’ve heard several women say their type is 6 foot or higher, handsome, etc and then go for guys who were the complete opposite of their type.

That only means those guys were “serviceable” or tolerable. Just because a girl is dating average Joe doesn’t mean she wouldn’t trade up for Giga Chad if given the opportunity.
You also have to remember some women use men as a survival strategy such as if they can’t pay their own bills they’ll get a sap to do it.
You’re talking about what women are willing to accept or settle for, I’m talking about what women intrinsically desire when all societal conventions are put aside.

There are women out there who you would think were into a certain type of guy, or who should be with a certain type of guy, but they aren't.
Trust me. I've been fat as fuck and as broke as a joke, and I've still fucked and been with some legit beauts. Not every hot woman dates equally or above, and when they don't there's not always an ulterior motive for doing so.
Just because a woman bangs you doesn’t mean she would pick you over Henry Cavill. Just means you fulfilled the part she wanted at that point in time. Make no mistake, women will trade up for a better deal at the drop of a hat.

If Henry comes along and could take the girl away, I’d rather never had the girl to begin with. I don’t want to be Mr. Backup. I’m either #1 or I’m nothing.
Sure, I have no doubt some hot women are into fat men. But I’m sure you’ve also heard a girl say “He’s not my type, but there is something about him that’s hot.” And then they go on to fuck the guy.
Physical type is simply a rationalization of what we feel about something. Let’s say a girl likes tall, muscular guys, but suddenly she meets a short overweight guy who makes her feel a lot of emotions. She wouldn’t dump him just because he isn’t tall and muscular right?
