Ask someone to study with you. If you don’t understand something in class, genuinely, that’s the icebreaker - and probably the only way you’ll find someone smart by your standards. Maybe show up a few minutes before class and ask someone who sits next to you “durr I did all the homework but this one was weird and idk if I got it right pls for the love of god help”. If asking a girl gives you super anxiety, then ask a bro and become bros.
It works in general, too. The medium/topic of approach is the icebreaker, and how you meet people of common interest.
