Well, this is a case where you should add him to the "roster".

Kinda too old to play will they wont they, ill be honest... Make it clear, direct, and don't waste time on maybe or what if. Ask him out on a date or a hang out, he says no? Move on. He says maybe? Move on. He says yes? Take that as your answer. There are other guys out there who will be really interested in you, not half-assing it.
