You're right to involve the less attractive friend eventually but in all honesty women who are truly interested won't let their friend cockblock or they'll at least give a sign showing interest before leaving. Not to say she wasn't interested in you this is just a biased opinion from my experience.

If you want to have better chances of success go for the girls who are at the bar because they are horny and down to fuck.
