You answered OPs question with “Dont forget to not rape.” As a parent, I can say teaching boys to be respectful towards women starts at an early age. For good kids, assuming they’re rapey is gross. It’s OK and legitimate to be offended by our your sexist and presumptive statement.

Don’t go too crazy on the drugs and alcohol, you think it will help you but it will hurt you.
Approach by mentioning something about their costume, play a game that involves a group, have a friend wing man for you and start the conversation.
One thing young guys don’t realize is that it doesn’t matter what you talk about. Girls don’t care what you talk about, but more how you say it. Just be confident, be fun, be witty if you can be. Most importantly get out of your own head and be yourself. Guys like to relate to facts in their conversations but girls typically like to relate to emotions. If you’re confident and open to having a good time that will get you a lot of success.

Sure, some men rape and should be castrated for it. But the vast majority of us do not. Your implication that most of us have that tendency is incredibly offensive and needs to be called out for what it is. Your comment to this poor kid asking how to flirt with girls was completely out of line.
