I think you’ve got a good approach. I like to save convo for the date. Too much texting sets the wrong tone. Random texts like you suggested are too much at this stage in the game (imo).

See im a lot like you where I'm cold, I dont text beforehand and If they don't show up or they cancel, I just shrug it off. I am a strong advocate on the cold-game. Redditors HATE it. Redditors will tell you to be upfront and honest, and tell her how you really feel, because its probably the right thing to do.

But in a harsh world, where competition is everywhere, you have to have your guard up. So even sending a text like, "hey hope you have fun at the concert. See you tomorrow" ...yeah, sure, that's sweet and nice but it puts you in a vulnerable position. What if she replies: "Thanks!" And that's it? What if she doesn't reassure you that she's coming tomorrow? It also kind of suggests you're thinking about it, meanwhile, she's out having fun, NOT thinking about it.

I am not saying ANY of that is true. Im just saying this is how my brain works. Again, im a cold bitch.

I tend to personally gravitate toward the more subtle guys like yourself who don't act too fast and don't shoot their shot. I like mystery and the chase. If you're cold toward me, but you asked me to hangout, hell yes im hanging out with you! If I don't hang out with you, its probably because I was scared you'd hurt me in the long run.

You don't get flaked on because you come across as disinterested. You get flaked on because you are ambiguous and have no direction or know what you want. It is completely okay to communicate as little as humanly possible, but instead of saying "hey of you want to maybe we can hang out one of these days sometime", why don't you say "let's go out. How is Thursday for you? Great. I will pick you up at 8pm, wear something sexy. See ya!" Or if you can't pick her up "meet me at 8pm at XYZ place and put on something sexy".

Now that's a MAN who knows what he wants! What woman wouldn't want to go out with him.
