TIPS:
1) ask about their day.follow up by introducing yourself then tell her you'd like to hit her up and Ask for her number.
2) ask about some pop music, movie, show, or topic that most chicks are interested in. Chances are she'll be too.follow up by introducing yourself and asking about her day so far then tell her you'd like to hit her up and Ask for her number.
3) compliment an article of clothing or her hair, follow up by introducing yourself and asking about her day so far then tell her you'd like to hit her up and Ask for her number.
4) let her talk about herself, listen for little nuggets(the shit that really seems to get her excited) to ask about THAT so the conversation can continue.follow up by introducing yourself and asking about her day so far then tell her you'd like to hit her up and Ask for her number.
5) fix your posture, get a good masculine haircut and Facial hair that fits your face shape. Give good eye contact with a smirk. Don't act TOO overly eager(like a beta chump) when interacting with her.
Good luck.

Really the difficult part is the opener, the conversation tends to flow once you've got it going. My opener has always been asking them for a favour like "Hey could you watch my stuff while I run to the bathroom?" If they do that then they'll be comfortable with you because you showed your vulnerability by trusting them with your stuff. And then when you come back you can introduce yourself with "I'm Dan by the way" and onwards...

The reason you can't think of anything is fear. Fear which in this case, leads to the "freeze" response. Your brain is detecting a threat and it shuts down the creative / smart social parts of your brain. The brain decides to sends blood elsewhere, like your muscles so you can run or fight. Hence, you can't think of anything to say. The issue is NOT that you don't know what to say. Not knowing what to say is just a symptom of the social anxiety. If you didn't have social anxiety you would be able to come up with plenty of things to say. You need to treat the cause. Not the symptom. Work on your social anxiety by pushing your social comfort zone with baby steps. Reduce the fear, and your social smarts will bubble to the surface. Case in point: In situations when you don't experience any social anxiety you can talk about anything easily.

Not entirely true. I wouldn't have fear talking to complete male stranger. It's just that I (like OP) wouldn't know what to even talk about in the first place. It's the small forced talk that we suck at. I literally don't have any points I'd talk about with a complete stranger.

Okay, thanks for clarifying that to me. I would go based on your curiosity about the other person. You want to talk to them right? Why? Because you want to get to know them better right? What about them would you like to know? Start with that. Just don't get too private too soon. Start of with more surface level questions and if they're comfortable with that then you can ask more private questions. You don't start with the super personal "where do you live". That's creepy. You start with something surface level like "I like your style. What goes into your decision when choosing an outfit?" And then after they open up then you can ask personal questions like "are you seeing anyone?" For example. Let your curiosity guide you. You're talking to them for a reason. You're interested in them..so that's what you should talk about..about them. People's favorite topic is themselves.

Just set a goal to go and introduce yourself. Don't worry about phone numbers, insta, going out etc. if they ask you any you are introducing yourself tell them "so you know my name if you need to find me later".
