It was just some corny shit I thought was funny but probably wasn’t. She said hey I just finished my homework for the night do you mind if I call you tomorrow. And I said “I’m your next assignment;)” didn’t think much of it but she probably thinks I just want her for sex or sum shit.

Personally I try to keep texting to a bare minimum until I go on a few dates and actually get to know the person. At first texting should be just to coordinate the meet up and a few casual messages to keep things playful but nothing more.
I’ve been in your shoes before. I said some stupid shit recently to a girl I met on hinge. She gave me her number and I opened with something funny but she didn’t reply. So a few days later I said “I was for sure that’d make you laugh.. 😂” followed up with “let me try that again…” then I reconfirmed the date we had planned on hinge. She replied she’s still down for our date and we ended up meeting up later that week
