Yes, it's a normal question. You know, not everyone likes if someone comes to their mouth,.or face, or either. It's better to ask to spare the bitching after if he decided on the wrong spot. Also this could add up as some dirty talk, too.

The weird part was making it such a negative response. A lot of girls don’t want it on their face that is totally normal, but there are more intimate/enthusiastic ways to say something like that in that moment that would kill the mood less.
