In HS it is for sure more about social status than anything. No girl wants to be known for hooking up with the weird kid in school, no matter how confident he is. Also word would get around quickly depending on the size of your school.

I highly recommend content from a user named Informal Mantis. Search him up on youtube. He has made guides for your age group such as How to Get a Girlfriend in High School Easily and How to Flirt with a Guy or Girl in High School properly! He isnt active anymore and hasn't made any videos in quite a long time but his previous videos are still up to watch. I used material presented in his videos with a high success rate when I was in high school.

Cold approaches don't apply because the girls know who you are. That makes them "warm" approaches. But you still have to approach! Are you comfortable walking up to a girl and chatting with her? If not, you need to get comfortable. It'll only get harder if you wait until after school to learn these skills.

You will need soooooooo much less game in HS. Don't let this intimidate you.

There is a subreddit called like highseddit or highschoolseddit or something like that.

They say you need social status. Idk about that. Every HS has a very different culture. My advice would be flirt be man to woman and escalate
