Apparently I've gone off the deep end of "How to Not Give a Fuck" and have simply stopped caring about anything at all.
If you asked 6-year-old me what I wanted, I'd have pointed to that Lego set on the shelf at the toy store. If you asked 16-year-old me, I'd have said I wanted that scholarship so I don't have to go into debt for college. But if you asked 26-year-old me, I'd just stare at you blankly and say, "What? I already have everything I want. There were things I used to want, but now that I can finally afford them, I don't want them anymore."
Am I happy? No. Am I unhappy? Nope, not that either. I'm just contentedly clueless and lost.

This is a problem I've seen in a lot of guys. Thoughts, comments, questions?

I dated a girl who always said she "didn't know what I want or need". Now I realize how easy it is.

It's really simple, but a lot of guys have been conditioned to not assert themselves.
For me, it was an ex-girlfriend who would flip out whenever I asserted myself, or went after what I wanted. She'd call me selfish for the most trivial things.
It took quite a while for me to re-learn how to assert myself after that.
Why do you think you have had trouble communicating what you want?
