I've only had this happen a couple times. Its not necessarily a deal breaker for me, but it's definitely not a good sign.

I would proceed only in a very low effort manner. In other words, the date would consist of drinks at a bar near my house at a time that's very convenient for me on a night where my favorite sports team is playing so I have something to watch while I drink my beer if she flakes.

Sometimes chicks have a bad experience and then get stuck in this mindset for like 6 months to a year. They may never get out of it to "stay safe". It really is a lot of work to try and convince them to be normal. You could be talking to them for weeks or months being like 'hey what's up do you trust guys yet?'

really better off just to avoid.

In my experience older woman don't wanna play games. They want everything to be up front . Especially what both your intentions are.
