The most commonly cited work on body language here in seddit is "What Every BODY Is Saying" which was written by an FBI profiler and has extensive notes on authority postures (e.g. standing with legs spread with hands on hips).
I would also suggest looking into "The Alexander Technique" which has some introductory videos on Youtube. It was a technique developed for actors to improve their posture so they could project their voices more clearly.

Thank you! A work like this is exactly what I was looking for.

watch the TV show "Lie To Me". I know its just a TV show, but it gives your some cool insights bout body language and facial movements.

Not really on your searching list but "Deskbound" by Kelly Starrett is a decent book about how to fix and strengthen your posture. The stronger you are the more authority you radiate to others (from my experience).

I started here.
And on that page, they cite a LOT of the research that has been done on posture, though more about what it does and means, overall, not specifically pertaining to "authority." Might still be interesting.
This research can be traced back to Charles Darwin's studies of emotion and movement in humans and animals.
"The theories that guide research in this field are the self-validation or perception theory and the embodied emotion theory. Self-validation theory is when a participant's posture has a significant effect on his or her self-evaluation of their emotions. Embodied emotion theory is the idea that mental events can be represented by states of the body."

There is also a TED talk on this. Can’t remember the name of the speaker but it’s very good.

"Your Body Language May Shape Who You Are," AKA Power Poses, by Amy Cuddy.

It should be noted that there has been some serious pushback from within the scientific community as to the methodology behind this study, but it's a good watch nonetheless.
