FWB, focus on what you don't like about her to keep a distance. Relationship focus on what you do like.
This is the great simplified version of FWB that I have been looking for, thank you Sir.

oh man this one hit me too close !
I used to date this girl and she decided we should remain fwb, although I really liked her, I had to say yes, since her asking me that means that she doesn't like me that way. Well in the end, that one ended up being one of the biggest heartbreaks I had !

No, it’s the girls job to bring up relationship talk not yours

Get more girls into your life. If you do that, you will naturally not get attached to 1 girl.

Getting more girls into your life and handing out with them, wouldn't it shows that you don't want to get the "girl" but you want others? So the "girl" would give up on you if she thinks you don't want her.

that's a bit hard to do since I'm young (17) and don't go to clubs or anything, so I don't really meet a lot of new people
More girls, different girls. Don’t get oneitis. It’s never going to go well if you get oneitis. So you need to take her off that pedestal, and be unattached to the impermanent nature of your relationship, but do allow yourself to enjoy the moments for which it exists, learn and grow: GOOD opportunity to practice maintaining frame

Hmmm...take things slowly, develop a real connection, then have the best sex of your life?
What’s wrong with doing that? Why rush things?

As a girl I hate when this happens. I genuinely prefer and date guys that give me lots of attention.

The first half makes no sense with regards to the second one...
If you hate getting attention due to him liking you, how do you date him?
[–]Xtratight 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link
I hate when people try to act not interested. Like OP is trying to do.
[–]SankarshanaV 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link
Ahh my mistake! Makes sense now! Thought you said you hate it when they give you too much attention.
[–]Xtratight 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link
Haha, who doesn’t like attention? Honestly, acting like you don’t want me is such a turn off for me.

All depends on what you look like tbh. If you would be considered by guys an 8-10, you most likely get enough attention that it's exciting and different to encounter a guy that's a little more aloof. If you're a sub-5 land whale, well then a little attention goes a long way.
Where do you fall on the 1-10 scale?

Honestly, I would consider myself fairly attractive but dress very modestly. I do get a lot of guys who give me attention, but many stop after a while (maybe I’ve just got a shit personality, haha)

maybe I’ve just got a shit personality, haha
Well, I guess that's why we're both here ;)
[–]Xtratight 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
That is fair.

the fact that you have many guys giving you attention, makes every guy giving it to you seem exactly the same as others. Hence, you won't feel anything special towards him. I never said you shouldn't give even the slightest bit of attention, but too much of it makes it a turn off.

If you want to tell her so badly just do it, what's the worst that could happen? The number 1 rule of seduction is showing you honestly desire them
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I learned the hard way that it's the opposite. Sure, maybe in the first few times you meet that's what you gotta do, but with time, your interest will be taken for granted.
So what if it's taken for granted, the girl probably enjoys it and you prove you have confidence in yourself. There's no reason it would be a bad thing to say.
You can say it but you can never become pushy about it. If you say it once and then keep acting cool without any expectations then you go but as soon as you start having expectations and wanting more clarity you start to fuck up.
