I go to college in a college town and some of the guys who are at the top of the pecking order here get so much social validation. Invites to formals, date nights, jobs at the nicest bars and venues in the town (being in a fraternity has a lot of say in that too though), and all in all, they know that because of their looks and their demeanor, girls and even guys their age validate them. Having hot girls around them at the gym or in public as some guys envy them.
Most of these guys have sky high confidence and are very happy as a result of having experienced all of this social validation they get mainly based on their looks and personality.
Now I know that in the adult world, your job title and salary have a say in social validation but I always wonder if being a handsome and confident guy as an adult brings you that level of social validation that these guys are getting. Do opportunities for social validation exist for handsome and confident guys? If so, what are they like?
Note: Please don't come in talking about how social validation is so overrated and that I need to read some random book to find my "inner self" or go on some lifelong voyage, please don't, just answer the question. I mean really, that's all you have to do, just the question. I am not interested in your sermon about any of this is silly, I just want an answer to the question.
