People are just reacting to what's in front of their face and the only thing that matters is that they find it appealing as it's happening.

That said, be clear and direct you want their attention, but relaxed (non-forceful) about it.

I had many sales people approach me yesterday and all of them were weird about it; half-committing is the main issue, lack of confidence, lack of certainty, pre-emptively assuming a negative response; the biggest difference is giving off the vibe you're fun and exciting to engage with because you're loose and relaxed yourself.

Yeah everything matters, but you can drive yourself crazy by trying to optimize these small nuances instead of approaching. The most important thing is that you approached and you tried to close.

Most guys don't approach, or if they approach - they forget to try to close. So only focus on nuances if you're already regularly doing approach + close.

Master the basics first. If you already have mastered the basics, you can indeed play around with small optimizations like those you mentioned.
