I have this really good friend (probably best friend actually) that I always party with. He has a girlfriend. Whenever there is an attractive girl around he says: hey you should get with that girl, or something along those lines. I HATE IT! Its difficult to call him out too because its obviously well intentioned and in his eyes hes being encouraging and helping me out.

I think I just realized why I hate it so much though. A few reasons:

  1. He can say it about every girl and always have a perfect excuse not to go through with it. I feel like in his mind he feels badass because he is pointing out all the hot girls (so alpha) that he would be hooking up with if he didn't have a gf. Then he is projecting it onto me and living vicariously through me and if I don't go through with it and fuck them that night its all on me being a bitch for not following through with what would be such an obvious choice. Hes trying to show show that hes still the shit (would be banging all the girls) but really doing nothing about it. All reward, no risk.

  2. Its a huge turnoff being told who to hook up with. I want to pick my own sexual future. Its nobody's concern but mine.

  3. It literally ruins my night, puts me soo far out of state every time this happens. I haven't realized this till very recently. Because I don't want to hook up with her (which is a recipe for disaster when approaching) and then I feel like shit when I can't go through with it. FUCK HIM!

Its such a trivial thing to say for him (I assure you hes never thought about any of this) and it is a frequent situation to be in (every time there is a hot girl around)
