So we all know that being too desperate or available is an easy way to turn off a girl (aka 'Nice Guy Syndrome'). But I was just thinking today how perhaps many guys make the mistake of playing 'too hard to get'. Sometimes, I look around today and feel that we live in a society where being honest is seen as a weakness, rather than a strength as it should be seen. It easier nowadays to pick up a random girl at a bar and bring her home than to have a profound, spiritual connection with someone.
Now don't get me wrong, I have no problem with getting laid regularly, it is something I look forward to when going out with my friends. I don't even feel myself that emotionally connected to most girls I have sex with. It's just that when I actually do find myself connected with someone, whether I've had sex with them or not, I want to be able to express to them how I feel, but I am reluctant to because I know that in this day and age, it could come across as being too emotionally invested. But then again, maybe this very fear is the reason why I am able to have sex with girls without many issues but am unable to maintain a serious relationship.
Anyways, I know some of you would say there is nothing wrong with having sex with multiple girls without having serious relationships with them and I understand that mentality as 3 months ago, I felt the same way. But at this point in my life, I need something more serious than that. I gain happiness through connecting with people and making them happy on a deep level. The whole 'player' lifestyle just doesn't really fill that void in my life.
But yeah, I am just curious to see what you guys have to say on this topic, I know y'all will have some interesting input.
