Just like many other guys, I have immense approach anxiety, and I'm not sure what I need to do to get over it. I've gone through all the traditional advice, and I feel like at least on a conscious level, I understand that approaching isn't going to lead to anything overly embarrassing happening. Like I know that in the majority of cases, the worst that could happen is that she could say no. Before I see the girl or before I get closer to her, I feel completely ready and I'm not worried about the outcome of the interaction. However, it's like as soon as the time comes, everything goes out the window and all the advice I've heard doesn't apply.

Are there any incremental steps that I can take to finally get over this hurdle? I do feel like I have some social anxiety as I also don't ever approach random dudes and talk to them. Just in general, going up to people for "no reason" and starting a conversation is something I just don't do.

What really kills me about my inability to approach is the fact that I know I'm good with women already, and I know I'm attractive. Once I get a date set up, I have a good close rate, but I only get those dates through online dating. I've had sex with plenty of women, but besides maybe 3, the rest were from online dating.

Literally any help would be a blessing lol
