Hey guys,

(Throwaway. 21 M) I just first wanted to say how appreciative I am of this subreddit - a year and a half ago, I split up with my long term girlfriend after realizing it was undoubtedly hurting me. Combine long distance with an absurdly needy girl, and you had me; I tried everything in my power to keep us together by going home nearly once a month, skype sessions, phone calls - you name it. I was admittedly just as needy because for the past two+ years I did little on my own. Sadly, I basically made no friends my first year at college because of it. After realizing that I needed to change, I called off our relationship and shortly thereafter found seddit. You guys really helped transform me, in my opinion, from a naive boy to a more mature young man. From focusing on improving myself at first, to being able to confidently speak with women in all kinds of situations, I feel better than ever nowadays.

That being said guys, there is some substance to this post. I've met and gotten to know more women this year so far than I have in my entire life, and recently I believe I have found one with whom I can see myself having a strong exclusive relationship. However, it is hard to say this but I am nervous that I will fall into old habits as with my previous girlfriend. Now I know it is key to ensure that any relationship I enter supplements and improves my life (and not IS my life). That brings me to a few questions.

Do you guys have any advice, perhaps from personal experience, that could help get me off on the right foot here? I'm still a younger guy, keep in mind. Should I continue to practice game, without pursuing any women? If any questions about my situation arise, I will definitely answer them. Thanks in advance everyone.
