When you say that your initial communication is about "getting information from her" like school, age etc. Does this sound like it would spark positive emotions towards you - or does it sound like you're asking her to fill out an application form? To me, it sounds more like the latter.

If someone asked me questions like they wanted me to fill out a form, I would lose interest and attraction for them. I would feel bored and annoyed.

Ask for the date once she shows positive interest towards you and asks you questions in return. But first you got to write something a bit more engaging emotionally than "what is your age" or "where do you go to school".

You have to engage with: Flirty messages, jokes, unexpected observations, deeper / interesting questions etc. It's not about gathering facts. It's about building emotions.
