So recently this girl I went on a couple dates with started blowing me off. No big deal. But I got to thinking about our last encounter and where I fucked up and I wanted to share this with you. So this was our second date and after we got dinner we decided to go to a bar and get some drinks. On our walk over there, she tripped and broke her shoe. So from there we walked back to her apartment so she could run up and get some new ones. Right before we made it back to her place she said something along the lines of, "alright so I'll run back up to my place and get some new shoes, and you stay right here. You can't come in my apartment because my room is a mess" Kinda emphasizing the part about me not following her up into her apartment. I thought it was kinda odd since I wasn't being aggressive whatsoever, but I just went with it. Anyway, when we made it back from the bar we stopped again just outside of her complex and she said she had a good time and all that jazz. Then we hugged and she leaned in a bit for a kiss (I think she was expecting it) but I didn't go in just to test the waters a little bit more. From there I walked her up to her apartment room and she said again "you can't come in my room, it's a mess." Once we got to the door we said goodnight and then made out for a just a few seconds before she quickly pulled away and said goodnight and went into her room (kinda odd, never had that happen before). Ever since that night I haven't heard from her and I am wondering where I fucked up. Was all that shit about a messy room just a shit test and should I have tried to go further? Or did I avoid and awkward situation by trying to escalate more?
