These are 3 things that do not just apply to pick up, but life in general. For this segment though I am just going to leave the context to just seduction.

When you see a very attractive girl what comes to mind? Excuses? Reasons to not talk to her? That, my friend, is fear.

Fear is both an enemy as well as a friend to us. We as males become frightened just thinking about approaching a beautiful young woman, especially in one that seems to interest you. Unfortunately fear just bursts out like crazy, and this fear then helps stimulate failure.

You then start to doubt yourself and immediately begin to think about worst case scenarios. Every person needs to understand that failure is just a part of life. We shouldn't fear failure, we need to instead, embrace it, and learn from disaster. This failure may even result in a person not even approaching this girl. Which leads to my last point; regret.

Regrets...everybody has them. I know I have. Once you waste the opportunity, it starts to rip you apart and immediately you start thinking of the things that could have happened and you start to wonder "what if?". We call this mental masturbation. It affects you mentally and depending on the scenario it can scar you for quite the period of time.

This whole process I explained; is the exact one that I go through when I see a woman and end up flaking on the approach. I believe that many users on /r/Seduction can agree that they go through this as well. Hell many people in the world can understand this.

You need to remember that we fear the unknown, and when it comes to approaching a complete random stranger of the opposite sex, the unknown is always looming. It can go well or terrible, but understanding, overcoming, and finally conquering the fear of will make you stronger. Failure happens in life and you can’t expect to be successful with every approach and when it goes downhill just remember that failure is how one learns and becomes more experienced. You did the approach and now the feeling of regret is no more.

This process is a pain at first and in the endgame it's just simpler to make the approach than endure the route of the deadly trio. So for men everywhere who are afraid to make an approach or those whose AA has been high lately, like mine, remember it is clearly easier to make the approach and accepting the unknown, then to waddle off questioning what might have happened if you just talked to her like a normal human being.
